A Forest Reverie is a masterful and beautiful large-scale watercolor painting by Rebecca Rye.
The triptych painting began in 2017, in the theme of the forests of Brown County, Indiana, where Rebecca and her husband honeymooned in 2014. Several smaller works were created prior to A Forest Reverie, and new works continue to come from those richly green spring trees.
In the summer of 2017, Rebecca's first child was born, and in the subsequent years while caring for her two young children, the painting waited. In the fall of 2021, it was resurrected and placed on the family mantel to be enjoyed as it was - incomplete and yet precious. And in the early winter of 2022, it was time to finish what began 5 years ago.
The completed painting was created at Rebecca Rye Studio located in Southington, Connecticut. It will remain the breakthrough piece in Rebecca's painting career for years to come.
The medium is watercolor on Arches 400lb paper. It measures 52" x 24" when all three panels are combined.
Professional framing with museum quality glass are recommended for preservation. An additional shipping cost will be determined for international sales.
